3. A 12-pole, 3-phase alternator is driven at a speed of 500 rpm and supplies power to an 8-pole, 3-phase induction motor. If the slip of the motor at full load is 3%. Calculate the full load speed of the motor. (15)

4. A 3-phase star connected Alternator has output power 5000 KW and voltage 10 KV at 0.8 p.f lagging. Find the active and reactive components of current. Also find the output power at 0.9 p.f lagging. (15)

5. Determine the transistor is in saturation or not . Where VCE (sat)=0.2V. (15)

 

6. Prove that power (delta) = 3 * power (star). (15)

7. A television signal has a bandwidth of 4.5 MHz.This signal is sampled,quantized and binary coded to obtain a PCM signal.If the signal is to be sampled at a rate of 20% above the nyquist rate & are quantized into 1024 levels.Then,find out the bit rate. (15) 

8. What is CDMA, FDMA & TDMA.Explain the feedback types. (15)
